DUDLEY residents have been warned to be wary of two men with Irish accents posing as water board officials.
The warning comes after two bogus caller burglaries took place in the borough over the last two days.
The first happened in Bird Street, Gornal, on Tuesday, with the second taking place today (Thursday) in Sangwin Road, Coseley.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “We are reminding all residents to always ask for ID and never to let anyone in unless you are expecting them.
“Any legitimate callers will be happy to wait whilst you call the company to check.”
People can report a suspicious caller by calling 101 immediately.
