A 22 YEAR-old Dudley man was found hanging on Wren’s Nest Nature Reserve an inquest heard.
Dudley Coroner’s Court was told Thomas Junior Spair, of Poplar Green was discovered hanging from a tree around 300 yards behind The Caves pub in Wrens Hill Road.
Despite the best efforts of two police sergeants, who lowered Thomas to the ground and attempted CPR, he was pronounced dead by paramedics who attended the scene soon after.
Jennifer Wright, Thomas’s mum, who last saw him on the morning of his death when he took her to work, told the court her son was a “worrier” but didn’t know why he would take his own life.
Recording a death of asphyxia and satisfied that Mr Spair killed himself, Coroner Robin Balmain, said: “I’m very sorry this has happened to you.
“This seems like a young man who had a lot going for him.”
