ROCKERS The Rooz may still be in their teens but they are already making their mark on midlands music.
The group got a massive boost when they won Live Band of The Year 2013 at Bilston’s Robin 2 music venue before building on their success by scooping an award for innovation from Music For Youth.
Pundits have also been quick to praise The Rooz; The Mixed Tape said: “The rock’n’roll four-piece do not stick to conventional rock styles, with the addition of piano/organs they create diverse, refreshing melodic tracks and sing-a-long ballads.
“Front man Louis Coupe has a perfectly toned voice for their sound. Their innovation and creativity is simply impressive and they are definitely a young band to watch.”
Formed in Shropshire around 18 months ago The Rooz are currently promoting their new EP Public Hearts which is available for download and on CD.
The band called at Base Studios to play live and for a chat with the Base Sessions video crew about how they use their innovative style to create their sound.
The Base Sessions is recorded and produced at Base Studios in Stourbridge.
