Dr Alan Parkes

Sad to hear of the passing of Dr Alan. DR Alan Parkes was a Licenced Radio Amateur or Radio Ham as it is also known, one of the longest member of Stourbridge and District Amateur Radio Society and will be sorely missed. Amongst his highly recognised medical carreer he was also an exceptional electronics and mechanical engineer and bee keeper. DR alan gave regular talks and demonstrations to the Society often accompanied with either a project he had been working on or a demonstration piece, perfectly constructed. He was an endless source of information to members new and old and regularly contributed to the Society's events. His contribution to the Society will certainly be missed by all.

Remembering Dr Parkes. Our family Doctor for many years. Such a lovely person who had many interests including engineering and bee keeping. He would always share some form of knowledge about his interests when visiting the surgery. A big thankyou to a dedicated professional , you have and will be missed. R.I.P. Alan x
