JON Higgins says Dudley Kingswinford are refreshed and ready to hit Luctonians hard this Saturday.
The Heathbrook outfit were able to recharge their batteries on a rare weekend off and are now preparing for a clash which could prove vital in their National League Two North survival fight.
On paper, Luctonians at home is the easiest fixture in a month which also sees DK travel to Caldy, before hosting league leaders Stourbridge in a pre-Christmas derby showdown.
Joint head coach Higgins says the players know a win could haul them further away from the danger zone.
He said: “This Saturday is quite a big game. If we are going to pick up points we need to focus on games like Luctonians.
“Caldy is a very difficult place to go and we have not been good away from home this season.
“When you face Stourbridge the result is almost decided beforehand. We had a complete week off and it was good for the players to not think about rugby for a while.
“But now we are back and ready to go.”
Luctonians sit just two places and six points ahead of 10th placed DK and Higgins admitted surprise the Herefordshire side were not further up the table.
He said: “When I looked at things at the start of the season, I thought they would be up there and challenging.
“They have just fallen away a little bit. I don’t think they have been playing any worse, I think it’s probably the quality of sides they have faced.
“They have had the same run of games we had at the start of the season and it just goes to show how tough the league is.”
DK expect winger Matt Farrington to recover from the rib injury he sustained in the defeat at Bromsgrove.
Back row star Chris Perry is also pushing for a return.
