A BURGLARY suspect was captured after a dramatic rooftop pursuit as he fled from cops in Pensnett.
The 26-year-old, who was wanted on recall to prison for burglary offences, was spotted by local officers last night (Tuesday May 21).
Detectives from Brierley Hill police station headed to an address, on Pensnett High Street, just after 7.30pm to make an arrest but on arrival he was seen fleeing the area and officers gave chase.
The West Midlands police helicopter was drafted in to search for the man, who was eventually spotted on the roof of a building in nearby Faulknor Drive.
Detective Sergeant Matt Morgan, from Dudley CID, said: "A number of officers joined the search for the suspect, who we were trying to locate as he was wanted on recall to prison.
"We managed to detain him on a rooftop in Tansey Green and brought him into custody."
