A COMMUNITY led litter pick will be taking place on a north Dudley housing estate this weekend.
The Ellowes Hall and area Tenants and Residents Association is organising a group of litter pickers to meet at Ellowes Hall School, Stickley Lane, Lower Gornal on Saturday September 21 at 9.30am.
The event will take place over four hours and the association is asking anyone who has some time to spare to join in. Volunteers of all ages are welcome.
Councillor Steve Waltho, cabinet member for housing, said: “It is excellent to see the Ellowes Hall and area TRA arranging this litter pick on the estate, and shows the amount of pride they have for the area. This litter pick will help make the area a cleaner and safer place for all residents.
“Anyone living on the estate should get involved both with this litter pick and the tenants and residents association.”
Bags, high visibility jackets, litter pickers and gloves will be provided for use, no unaccompanied children will be allowed to take part.
