WOODSETTON road campaigners say the end of traffic trouble could be just around the corner at a notorious junction.
Regular users of the junction complain of tailbacks even at quiet times of the day at four-way lights at the junction of Parkes Hall Road and Sedgley Road by the Bramford Arms.
UKIP's Dean Perks, who is aiming to stand for election to Dudley Council for the Upper Gornal and Woodsetton ward, is among people calling for improvements to the junction.
Mr Perks said: "A simple change to a three-way system would make the world of difference to what is a notorious pinch point for motorists.
"We have been campaigning for a change to a three-way system, as is used at the other end of Eve Lane, for some time.
"Sometimes the simple solutions are the best ones and I hope the people of Woodsetton will soon see a significant change to their journeys as a result, if we are successful."
Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, Dudley cabinet member for transportation, said: "A traffic survey has now been carried out. As with all requests from the public, consideration may now be given to including an appropriate road safety scheme in a future year's programme of works."
