Exercise enthusiasts will soon be able to take advantage of increased opening hours at a popular Stourbridge leisure facility.
From Monday February 3 the Dudley Council-owned Crystal Leisure Centre, in Bell Street, will be open from 7.15am for lane swimming and the Lifestyles Gym on weekdays, Monday to Friday.
The increased open hours are in response to customer demand from people keen to exercise at the beginning of the day.
Councillor Stuart Turner, cabinet member for health and wellbeing:
“It is so important to stay fit to remain healthy and we are always looking at ways that we can help residents achieve this. At the Crystal Leisure Centre we had an influx of requests for earlier opening hours to enable people to exercise before work or other tasks in the day. We thought that this was a fantastic idea and we are happy to oblige.”
Previously, the pool and gym were open from 7.45am on weekdays.
Crystal Leisure Centre houses a 25m swimming pool, sports hall, gym, squash courts, soft play area and function rooms.
