Residents are being reminded to let their fingers do the walking to find out about council facilities and services in their neighbourhood.
Dudley Council’s Find My Local online service, at www.dudley.gov.uk, allows people to input their postcode and gain valuable information.
The free service, which is available on the council’s website homepage, displays details tailored to people’s addresses. It includes facts on services such as rubbish collections and recycling points, neighbourhood community centres and schools, and public transport. It also gives details on local councillors and MPs.
Councillor Pete Lowe, deputy leader and cabinet member for finance, said:
“As a community council we strive to be as accessible as possible for local people. This is a fantastic facility which is available to everyone in the borough. I recommend all residents visit the site to see how easy it is to use. Then when local people need to find out important information, such as where their local grit box is during a winter freeze, they know what to do.”
