PEOPLE in Netherton are being urged to help stage a community event which attracts thousands of visitors.
The Friends of Netherton Park, Greaves Road, has announced their annual fun day will take place on Saturday July 5.
Event organisers are appealing for help to raise the £3,000 needed to stage the show as well as helpers to assist on site during the day, which is expected to attract 6,000 visitors.
Organiser Richard Johnson said: “This is the only event of its type held in Netherton and over the years has become one largest event of its type in the Dudley borough.
“There will be a vast array of activities available on the day to interest both young and old. The area is classed as a deprived area and we wanted something where you could have a great day out at a small cost.”
