Would-be global pop superstars will have a chance to prove their talent when the X Factor auditions come to Dudley next week.
The mobile audition tour will visit Dudley Town Hall, on St James’s Road, on Wednesday April 23.
Duncan Lowndes, assistant director for culture and leisure at Dudley Council, said:
“It’s exciting to think that the next James Arthur or Leona Lewis could come from the Dudley borough. There is a lot of musical talent in the Black Country and I sincerely hope that this will shine through in the auditions – it would be fantastic to have a local winner, after all Liam Payne of One Direction comes from Wolverhampton.”
The auditions will not be filmed, but singers that impress the team will go on to perform in front of the four celebrity judges in the summer.
Groups and soloists aged from 14 years old are welcome to audition. Auditions will take place from midday to 4pm on a first come, first served basis.
All acts should bring an item of photo ID and anyone under 18 must bring a parent.
