Vice- Chairman Mrs Jean Corns welcomed members and one visitor to the April meeting held at The Kingfisher, Wall Heath.
The speaker was Cllr David Blood who entertained members with his lighthearted talk on 'Why Politics'.
Members enjoyed his reminiscences about how he became interested from 1964 when he moved to London to work, up until the present day with his work in Dudley borough.
Mrs Tilly Sumnall proposed the vote of thanks.
Raffle prizes were won by Joan Harris, David Blood, Tilly Sumnall, and Olga Willetts.
The 100 club draw for the Association was won by Mrs Brenda Adkin, one of our members.
At our meeting in May we shall be welcoming as our speaker Mr Ian Nex, whose subject will be Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
We are always pleased to welcome new members. For further information please contact Jean Corns (01902 341512) or Jill Griffiths (01902 372984).
