THE society met for a talk by Derek Luther.
He was very informative on preparing for showing fuchsias and was listened to intently because he will be a judge at the forthcoming show in Wolverhampton on July 7.
As he has also competed at shows he appreciates many of the problems and was able to tell us how to overcome them.
There are many things a judge looks for and he ran through a list of dos and donts.
After the raffle, which raised £44, he continued with the slide show.
The next meeting at The Memorial Club, Bradley Street, Pensnett, will be on Thursday August 9 at 7.45pm when the speaker will be Terry Strickland, admission is free.
New members are welcome.
