A CYCLIST has been left with life changing injuries after a crash in Wordsley.
Police believe a white Citroën DS5 collided with the cyclist on High Street just after 2.30pm on Monday (May 28).
The 42-year-old was taken to hospital with life-changing head injuries.
He’s currently in a critical condition receiving expert medical care, while specialist liaison officers support his close family.
Investigators called to the scene closed the road for a number of hours to complete a reconstruction, and preserve vital evidence.
A number of witnesses were spoken to at the scene but Sergeant Alan Wood, who is leading the investigation, is appealing for others with information to come forward.
He said: “We would like to hear from anyone who was in Wordsley High Street and may have witnessed the collision to get in touch - we need to understand exactly what happened and their information could be important."
Any witnesses are urged to call West Midlands Police on 101 quoting log number 1320 of 28/05/2018 and ask to speak to the Collision Investigation Unit.
