A MAN has been arrested after a KFC in Dudley was raided by robbers armed with machetes.
Four men with machetes stormed KFC in Castlegate Business Park just before 2pm yesterday afternoon (March 28).
They demanded money from staff before assaulting a cash security officer who had just arrived at the premises, leaving him with cuts to his legs and back.
The attempted robbers fled empty-handed in a Hyundai vehicle, which police have confirmed was stolen from Aldridge earlier in the month.
The Hyundai was tracked and stopped near junction three of the M6 around 10pm last night.
A 20-year-old man from Leicestershire was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and theft of a motor vehicle.
He remains in police custody for questioning.
Police have launched an appeal for information and are urging anyone with mobile phone footage of the incident to get in touch.
