POLICE have confirmed gun shots were fired in Halesowen after residents were woken by loud bangs.
Officers have launched an appeal for information after gun shots were fired in Thatchers Barn Drive on Monday (May 20) at 3.10am.
Residents in the quiet residential street reported being woken by two loud bangs.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We’re appealing for information after gun shots were fired in a Halesowen street during the early hours of yesterday (Monday 20 May).
"Officers responded to reports of two loud bangs in Thatchers Barn Drive around 3.10am.
"Although no-one was injured and no property was damaged a search has recovered evidence of a shotgun being fired.
"Enquires have established a car was heard leaving the area soon after in the direction of Long Lane.
