A BRIERLEY Hill building which once housed a cannabis farm could be turned into apartments, if planning permission is granted.
Plans have been submitted to Dudley Council to convert Insight House on Pearson Street into 11 one and two bedroom apartments.
The building could also be partially demolished to make space for a courtyard and amenity space for residents.
Cannabis worth more than £500,000 was discovered after West Midland Police’s Cannabis Disposal Team raided the building in August 2015 and found over 1,000 plants.
The plants were found growing in pots on the building's dance floor, as Pearson Road building also used to be the home of Brierley Hill Labour Club.
Insight House was once also the headquarters of charity We Love Carers, before the organisation moved out of the building in April 2015.
The plans will be considered by Dudley Council's development committee and comments are now open for the application on Dudley Council's planning website.
