POLICE have seized a car that was seen overtaking motorists in Pensnett after taking the cautious decision to avoid a street chase during the afternoon school run period.
Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station seized the grey Vauxhall car which was uninsured and in poor condition after finding it abandoned.
Dudley PC Jamie Follows said officers on patrol had seen the car "with several males on board and the driver began overtaking vehicles to avoid us".
But he added: "We did not pursue the vehicle as the schools had just finished and there was a large amount of pedestrians in the area."
The car, which is thought to have been involved in multiple collisions previously, was seized by officers and enquiries to trace the driver continue.
