A MAN from Stourbridge has been handed a 20-week jail term suspended for 12 months for trespassing, theft and criminal damage.

Matthew Carradine of Green Street entered Mini Market in Cradley Heath as a trespasser on March 30, 2020 and stole £250 in cash.

The 49-year-old damaged the shutter and inner front door.

He then trespassed in Computers and Mobiles in Cradley Heath High Street and stole electrical items and mobile phones and damaged the front door and outer shutter.

Carradine was ordered to pay £800 in compensation and £122 in costs.

A man from Netherton has pleaded guilty to several motoring offences.

Michael Higginson of Edwards Road drove a Ford Fiesta on Saltwells Road in Cradley Heath before a positive breath test showed he had consumed eight microgrammes of alcohol over the legal limit.

The 21-year-old had no insurance or licence relating to the vehicle.

He was fined £200, disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to a pay a victim surcharge of £34.

A man from Norton and a man from Dudley were fined after being found in possession of an imitation firearm.

Steve Rollinson, aged 27 of Hillside Road and Scott Whitehouse, aged 25 of The Broadway were found with a spring-operated BB gun on Limepit Lane on June 6.

The pair were fined £100 and ordered to pay £135 in costs.

A man from Woodsetton admitted to breaching a tenancy agreement with Dudley Council.

David Aspinal of Littleworth Avenue sublet 76 Copse Road, Netherton, which is social housing, between August 9, 2019, and October 25, 2020, and did not live at the premise.

The 43-year-old was ordered to pay £2,000 to Dudley Council, pay £1628 in costs and fined £50.

A man from Stourbridge has been handed a four week suspended sentence for theft.

Darren Skidmore of Trinity Road was found guilty of stealing £28 worth of chocolate from Wilkos in Dudley on February 22 and was handed a two-week jail term suspended for 12 month.

The 49-year-old had previously received a conditionally discharged for another theft on January 2, but after further offending during the period of the conditional discharge, magistrates imposed a further a further two week’s in jail suspended for 12 months.
