POLICE have found a body during their search for a Gornal man who went missing over a week ago.
Officers previously issued an urgent appeal to help find 58-year-old Paul Southall, who was last seen at his home in Lower Gornal, Dudley, on Saturday, September 4.
West Midlands Police have now confirmed a body has been found which they "strongly believe" to be Mr Southall. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
A police spokesperson said: "Sad news. We’ve found a body during our search for missing Paul Southall.
"There’s been no formal identification, yet but we strongly believe it is 58-year-old Paul who was from #LowerGornal.
"We have told his family about this and extend our deepest condolences to them, and all of Paul’s friends.
"We’re not treating Paul’s death as suspicious. He was last seen on Saturday 4 September.
