A NEW bakery for dogs is opening at Merry Hill Shopping Centre next week.

Frenchie Frenchie , The Barkery, is opening at the centre on Monday, October 18.

This will be the brand’s seventh store in the UK, with ‘barkerys’ also in Nottingham and Essex.

In a Facebook post, the pooch bakery said it will be hosting interviews for staff this week.

The post said: "We're so very pawsitively excited to announce that we're opening our seventh bakery!!

"We'll be opening our seventh store as a company and our first in the West Midlands! We're opening in Dudley!! Merry Hill Shopping Centre we're coming. We're super excited and we think it's going to be PAWsome!

"We'll be hiring over the coming days with interviews to take place this week. We're hiring 6 team members so keep an eye out.

"We're absolutely PAWsitive our WUFFles & WOOFnuts are going to go down a treat.

"We officially open on the 18th October."

Jonathan Poole, centre manager at Merry Hill said: “We are delighted to welcome Frenchie Frenchie, The Barkery to Merry Hill.

"The luxury pet store will provide shoppers with exclusive treats and care products, making it easier than ever for dog owners to pick-up treats for their pets during their visit.

“The opening will create an additional 18 jobs at Merry Hill, and we’re really proud of playing our part to support this in the local community. We’re sure it will be a real success with both owners and pets alike!”

The business opened in 2019 an offers waffles, doughnuts and cookies specifically for dogs.
