A FORMER police officer from Dudley has pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children.
Keel Walker, of Redhall Road, Lower Gornal, joined West Midlands Police in March last year as a student officer.
However a warrant was executed at his home address by officers from the force's Online Child Sexual Exploitation Team (OCSET) the following month and a number of devices were seized.
The force immediately suspended the 21-year-old from duty while an investigation was carried out.
He was subsequently charged after he was found to have uploaded indecent images of children.
He appeared for an initial hearing at Dudley Magistrates' Court on January 17 prior to a hearing yesterday (January 27) where he pleaded guilty to charges.
He has been placed on the Sex Offender Register and will be sentenced on March 14.
West Midlands Police have said the officer resigned from his post in September and a misconduct hearing will be convened following sentencing.
