A DUDLEY man has been jailed for stealing meat from Iceland and refusing to provide a sample for a drug test while in custody.
Nicholas Gibson, of Watsons Green Road, Kates Hill, pleaded guilty to theft from a shop after stealing meat worth £40 from Iceland on May 29.
The 50-year-old also admitted failing to provide a sample for a class A drug test while in custody at Oldbury on the same date.
Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court was told the offences were “aggravated by the defendant's record of previous offending” so he was given a 12-week prison term when sentenced on Monday May 30.
