PEOPLE across the Dudley borough are invited to get on their bike and enjoy a group ride this summer led by a trained cycle instructor.
The led cycle rides are suitable for everyone - individuals, couples, families (children must be accompanied) and groups.
They are designed to be accessible, fun and family friendly and are guided by cycle instructors and ride leaders who are DBS checked.
Councillor Shaz Saleem, Dudley Council's cabinet member for highways and public realm, said: "These sessions are a fun and safe way to get out on your bike, with the support and expertise of our instructors.
"Going out in a group makes it more of an experience and offers reassurance to those who might be slightly less confident and less likely to strike out on their own. I’ll be joining the ride myself on August 26 at Himley Hall and Park.
"Alongside the Dr Bike free MOT sessions which the team is also running over the summer, this is the perfect opportunity to go out on your bike and enjoy a safer cycling experience.”
Sessions are taking place on:
Monday July 25 - Mary Stevens Park in Stourbridge – 10am to noon.
Tuesday August 2 – Silver Jubilee Park in Coseley – 10am to noon.
Wednesday August 3 - Mary Stevens Park in Stourbridge – 10am to noon.
Wednesday August 10 – Hurst Green Park in Halesowen – 10am to noon.
