A WOMAN has been charged with possession of weapons after police were called to a retail park in Dudley.
Sonia Mendes, aged 46, from Marbury Drive, Wolverhampton, has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm and a bladed article in a public place after being arrested on Friday January 6, police have confirmed this evening.
The arrest followed an incident which saw emergency services swamp the retail park off Birmingham Road.
No-one was injured, police confirmed.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police added that Mendes will appear before Wolverhampton magistrates tomorrow (Monday January 9).
