WATER company bosses have issued an urgent notice to undertake repair works on Himley Road, Dudley.
South Staffordshire Water has issued an immediate permit for the works to repair a leaking water main on the B4176.
Traffic management will be in place in the form of two-way signals allow safe working for workers on site and to allow traffic to pass.
The works are located approximately 300 metres ahead of the roundabout junction of Milking Bank (westbound) and will be in progress from today (Monday January 16) to Friday January 20.
Dudley Council’s network manager Andrew Sumner said in a traffic alert that the signals will be adapted to suit the tidal nature of the road but he added: “It is expected that congestion will be significantly increased in this area, especially at peak times.”
