MOTORISTS are warned to brace themselves for congestion as carriageway resurfacing works on Birmingham New Road (A4123) have been delayed due to the bad weather.
Works will be continuing on Sunday March 12 between 7.30am to 2.30pm under a road closure between Ivyhouse Lane and Shaw Road, Coseley.
The restriction will affect both the northbound and southbound carriageways, and signed diversion routes will be in place.
Dudley Council’s network manager Andrew Sumner said: “Due to the nature of the traffic management and the diversion routes in place, high levels of congestion and increased journey times are likely, and all traffic is advised to allow for extra travelling time.”
