A CONSULATION inviting people to have their say on plans for the derelict former Cavendish House site in Dudley town centre has now gone live.
The former Portersfield site, near the bus station, could be set to benefit from a multi-million-pound private investment.
Plans for the brownfield site could include a significant housing development and improving walking and cycling facilities.
People are invited to submit their views online at www.regeneratingdudley.org.uk/portersfield-consultation
Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of the council, said: "After a number of high-level discussions with prospective investors, we’re now in a position to move forward and ask our residents about plans for the Portersfield site.
"The regeneration of this Dudley town centre land could create hundreds of homes, provide exciting new leisure opportunities, and create up to 500 jobs supporting the local economy.
"The consultation into the plans is now live, and we would very much welcome the views of our residents."
The consultation closes on Wednesday September 20.
