A teenager has suffered serious injuries after a car crashed into a tree and caught fire in the West Midlands last night (Tuesday, November 7).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to reports of a car that had crashed on Green Road, Hall Green at 6.38pm and sent an ambulance, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and a critical care paramedic to the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “On arrival, we discovered a car that had crashed into a tree and caught fire.
"There was one male patient, who had been rapidly extricated from the vehicle by bystanders.
“He received treatment at the scene for serious injuries before being transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.”
