A man has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in the West Midlands.
Tarik Al-Mitheab, aged 21, from Bordesley Green, was charged by police earlier this morning (Wednesday, November 8) for killing 28-year-old Mahmoud Alabdullah.
Mr Alabdullah was found seriously injured in Cherrywood Road on Sunday (November 5) and was rushed to hospital, but nothing could be done to save him.
The family have since paid tribute to the ‘kind and lovely’ Mahmoud with specialist officers supporting his loved ones during the difficult time.
In a statement his family said: “Mahmoud was always happy and his loss will be felt by everyone that knew him.
“He was a kind and lovely person to spend time with. He brought smiles to everyone who knew him.”
Al-Mitheab has been remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, November 8).
Three other men arrested in connection with the killing have been bailed with strict conditions whilst enquires continue.
West Midlands Police said: “We continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward. You can do this through Live Chat on our website or by calling 101 and quote log 248 of 5/11/23.
“To leave information anonymously you can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
