POLICE continue to investigate the explosion that took place at a Dudley vape shop yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
The incident happened at the Amsterdamned shop in Wolverhampton Street at just after 3pm.
Police closed the road while emergency services worked at the scene where a man was found with burns injuries.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We assisted fire crews as they dealt with an explosion at a shop in Wolverhampton Street, Dudley just after 3.25pm yesterday afternoon (May 15).
“An explosion from an aerosol caused damage to storefront windows and a man was taken to hospital after sustaining burn injuries. Fortunately, his injuries are not considered life-changing.
“Our enquiries are continuing to establish the cause of the explosion.”
