DUDLEY highways bosses have issued a temporary road closure notice that will see Union Street in Dudley closed for most of the coming week.
The town centre street will be closed from Tuesday May 28 to Friday May 31, while equipment is lifted onto a rooftop.
The closure will be from the junction of King Street to the junction of High Street.
All northbound traffic will be diverted via: King Street, Vicar Street, High Street.
Southbound traffic will be diverted via: Wolverhampton Street, The Inhedge, Stafford Street, High Street, Vicar Street, King Street.
Dudley’s traffic department said the closure has been ordered to “safely lift equipment to the rooftop” but highways chiefs would not reveal any further information about the works.
