THE devastated family of a woman whose body was found in Netherton Reservoir have paid tribute to the "wonderful mother and grandmother."
Terrianne Thompson, aged 38, was found in the water after police were called to the reservoir, on Highbridge Road, at around 8.30am on Tuesday May 28.
The mother-of-two and grandmother-of-two, from Tame Road, Oldbury, was pronounced dead at the scene.
She leaves sons Lee, aged 22 and Josh, 18 as well as grandchildren Evelyn, aged 15 months and Brooklyn, aged four months.
Husband Gary, who Terrianne was separated from, said he had been overwhelmed with hundreds of messages of condolence since her untimely death, which had devastated the family.
Gary, aged 64, of Cradley Heath, said: "Terrianne had a massive heart.
"She would do anything for anyone.
"She idolised her kids and her two new grandchildren, but the demons got hold of her.
"She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and wife. All she wanted was to have kids and grandkids.
"When the two came along she was smitten."
The couple met 22 years ago.
Gary said: "I fell in love with the girl."
They separated eight years ago, but had remained good friends ever since.
Gary said Terrianne had faced struggles recently, but her death came as a total shock as she was utterly devoted to her children and grandchildren.
He said: "When the police came and said it's bad news I just collapsed."
Gary said Terrianne used to work for her mum at a haberdashery in Blackheath. He said a date for the funeral and inquest had not yet been set.
Police said they were "satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances" surrounding Terrianne's death and that the matter had been referred to the coroner.
