A man has been charged following a spate of thefts from cars in Dudley last month. 

Dudley Police said Jordan Higgins, aged 26, from Dudley, was arrested yesterday (Tuesday, June 4) and has now been charged with four counts of theft from a motor vehicle. 

He has also been charged with two counts of vehicle interference and attempted burglary. 

The charges are in connection with offences which occurred in the town in early to mid-May. 

The 26-year-old has been bailed to appear before Dudley Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, June 26. 

A spokesperson for Dudley Police said: "We’ve charged a man in connection with a spate of thefts from cars in #Dudley last month.

"Jordan Higgins from Dudley was arrested yesterday and has been charged with four counts of theft from a motor vehicle, two counts of vehicle interference and attempted burglary.

"The charges relate to offences which occurred in the town in early to mid-May. The 26-year-old has been bailed to appear before Dudley magistrates on June 26.

"Vehicle crime is a priority for us across Dudley Borough and we urge drivers to make sure their vehicles are left secure."
