TWO men have been arrested after a stabbing in Dudley this afternoon which has left the community in shock.
Three men were injured in the drama which happened in Buffery Road just after 2pm – with one of the men seriously wounded.
Emergency services flooded the scene which police have sealed off while they carry out investigations. Meanwhile, bus services 7 and 19 have been diverted.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said of the incident: “We were called to Buffery Road, Dudley, just after 2.05pm today (June 21).
“One man was found with serious stab wounds.
“Two men have been arrested and will be questioned in due course.
“We're in the early stages of our investigation and a scene is currently in place.”
The ambulance service sent three ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic, the WMAS Critical Care Car, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance to the scene.
A spokesperson for the service told the media: “We were called by West Midlands Police to reports of a stabbing on Buffery Road, Dudley, at 2.09pm.
“Upon arrival, ambulance staff found three men who were injured, one seriously.”
A local resident, who asked not to be named, has described the scenes that unfolded on a sunny Friday afternoon as parents were getting ready to pick up their children from school as “like a horror movie”.
St Thomas’s ward councillor Shaukat Ali told of his shock at the incident and said: "I'm just praying for the safety and well-being of everyone in the area."
