Dudley Zoo has announced a free return initiative for the six-week holidays.
The zoo and castle attraction promises to offer a complimentary voucher to all pre-booked visitors between July 20 and September 1, if they are met with consistent rain for over an hour during their outing.
The free voucher aims to provide guests the opportunity to revisit the zoo on a day with better weather conditions.
Zoo manager, Matt Lewis, said: "As an outdoor attraction we understand the weather can have a huge impact on a day out, so for full-paying customers who have pre-booked their admission online for the summer holidays, we’ll hand out the rainy day free return ticket if their visit is cut short by the rain, which will allow them the chance to come back and visit us again for free on another day and hopefully avoid any disappointment.
"However there is still plenty for visitors to explore across the 40-acre site if it does rain, with indoor attractions including the farm barn, where you can see our smaller animals including baby guinea pigs; Castle Creatures where you can learn more about the history of the 11th-century castle; Lorikeet Lookout where you can hand feed free-flying rainbow lorikeets pots of nectar and the Reptile House."
These free return tickets will stay valid until November 30.
