TEMPERATURES in the Black Country could hit 29 degrees this week as parts of the Midlands are expected to face a mini heatwave.
Weeks of rain and mixed weather could be behind us as temperatures are expected to soar.
According to the Met Office, temperatures are expected to rise to 29 degrees in some areas across the county on Friday (July 19).
Today (Thursday, July 18), the temperature is around 25/26 degrees in parts of the Black Country.
The Met Office website states: "Any early cloud breaking to provide a pleasant and dry day with an increasing number of prolonged sunny intervals.
"Feeling warm with light winds and high UV levels. Maximum temperature 25 °C".
