A Dudley caregiver has clinched the prestigious Dementia Care Champion title for the North West Division in the Barchester Care Awards 2024.

Currently serving at Broadway Halls Care Home, Jennifer Higgins is now set to contest in the national round of judging.

As a regional winner, she will advance to the national finals, joining successful candidates from around the UK at a celebratory event in October.

This will be an opportunity for them to enjoy their exceptional contributions and find out if they've secured a national award.

General manager, Danica Chugh, said: "This is an amazing achievement and the whole home is supporting Jennifer.

"We are so proud of her.

"Jennifer has been a Senior Carer and our Dementia Lead since 2018.

"She is the most passionate person and is dedicated to her work.
