Dudley's budding entrepreneurs are getting a boost as part of a collaboration between Dudley Council and business start-up specialists Good2Great.
The partnership aims to support individuals from across the borough who have their sights set on setting up their own ventures.
From upcycling furniture to first aid training, mechanics, and recruitment, the business ideas are diverse.
Several free workshops, funded by the government, are being rolled out across Dudley this year in a bid to boost the local economy.
Eddie Allan from Bridgnorth's Good2Great said: "The recent events, held in Dudley Library and Innovoffice, an office and co-working space, were attended by a total of 18 people, all with great plans for new businesses."
One participant, Matt Lain, who's setting up a recruitment firm for the construction industry, said: "I found this course absolutely brilliant.
"It was so useful and has given me some great ideas moving forward that I will implement in my business."
Once participants complete the workshops, they can take advantage of up to three private support sessions with trained business consultants.
The next workshops are set for September 10 and 11 in Wombourne, and September 17 and 18 in Brierley Hill.
"There are only a limited number of spaces, so I would urge interested people to get in quickly," warned Mr Allan.
Those interested in the start-up workshops, running from 9.30am to 4.30pm, should contact Tamsin Preece at 01746 330730 or https://bit.ly/DMBCSTART1.
