RESIDENTS can have their say on access to green spaces across Dudley borough at a public meeting later this month.

Dudley’s next Local Access Forum meeting will be held at the Council House on Wednesday September 18 at 1pm.

Local landowners, walkers, horse riders, cyclists and other people who regularly use the borough’s green spaces are invited to join the forum.

The forum meets four times a year to discuss issues like footpaths and rights of way in the borough’s parks, green spaces and nature reserves.

It advises the council on how public access to land in Dudley can be improved for visitors to enjoy.

Members are also able to comment on planning applications and other strategies affecting rights of way and footpaths.

Councillor Damian Corfield, cabinet member for highways and environmental services, said: "The Local Access Forum is a great way for residents who are passionate about the great outdoors to get involved in conserving their local scenic areas and making it easier for more people to appreciate them.

"We have some fantastic green spaces in the borough and we welcome the constructive feedback that the forums provide on improving our footpaths, bridleways and other means of getting out into nature."
