A SPATE of suspicious activity and vehicle crime in Quarry Bank has prompted police to put out an appeal for CCTV or ring doorbell footage.

Police said they are investigating several reports of someone acting suspiciously and trying car doors, with one person reporting a theft from a car on Bickon Drive, Quarry Bank on September 19.

They said today (Monday September 23) that they have increased patrols in the area and are making enquiries as residents are concerned.

Officers are in the process of reviewing CCTV, but said they need more people to come forward.

Sergeant Richard Galbraith, from the Dudley policing area, said: "We understand that people within the area are concerned about what's been happening and we'd like to thank those people that have already come forward.

"However, we believe that there may be other footage out there that could help our investigations and we would appeal for anyone with information that could help our investigation to come forward.

"Our priority is to find the person or persons responsible for committing these crimes.

"We’ve received the reports over the last week and we are keen to speak to anyone who can help our enquiries."

Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 quoting log 736 18/09/24.
