DUDLEY’S highways chiefs have issued temporary road closure notices for streets in Stourbridge and Brierley Hill due to water leaks.
Central Avenue in Wollescote will be closed to traffic from today (Tuesday September 24) until Thursday September 26.
The closure will be from number 17 to 23 Central Avenue, with a diversion route in place.
Mill Street in Brierley Hill will also be closed to traffic from today (Tuesday September 24) to Friday September 27.
Motorists will be diverted via High Street, Venture Way and vice versa.
Both closures have been ordered to enable workers to safely repair water leaks, Dudley’s highways department said.
Network management and co-ordination lead Andrew Sumner added that congestion is likely in Brierley Hill due to the diversion that has been put in place and that transport and highways services has contacted South Staffs Water about the matter.
