WORK to make safe a retaining wall at the Tesco Extra store in Cradley Heath is expected to continue into next month.

Work on Foxoak Street has been ongoing for months, with contractors still at the site.

The scheme had been expected to be completed in September, but the new completion date is now November 15.

"Their contractors currently have a license to occupy and undertake works on the public highway until 15th November.

"This is based on their application for the completion of works following the eventual design and approval of the replacement retaining wall structure.

"They have confirmed that they are currently on schedule to meet their 15th November end date."

Tesco did not respond to a request for comment.
