A WOMAN is appearing in court charged with a firearms offence after a staff member at a Gornal petrol station was threatened.
West Midlands Police officers were out called on Tuesday (October 1) after a car attempted to leave without paying for fuel at the Texaco petrol station on Himley Road.
A member of staff tried to intervene and reported that he was threatened with a Taser.
Officers arrested a woman from an address in Netherton on Wednesday morning and she was later charged.
Betty Whinnery, of Cole Street, Netherton, will appear before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (October 3).
The 50-year-old has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and attempting to make off without payment.
