A wanted man has been arrested for several offences following a random police patrol in Wolverhampton City Centre.
The 51-year-old was wanted on suspicion of a burglary that occurred in August and was arrested on Thursday, October 17.
However, when spotted by police, he was also arrested for possession of a knife and class B drugs.
Offers were conducting a random patrol as part of Project Servator – a policing tactic that aims to disrupt criminal activity.
As part of Project Servator, specially trained uniform and plain-clothed officers from West Midlands Police will arrive unannounced at random locations across the region to look for the ‘telltale signs’ that someone is planning to commit a crime.
Deployments occur regularly in Wolverhampton, with officers on hand to keep members of the public informed about their operations.
The man remains in police custody today.
