TWO men have been jailed for their involvement in drugs lines in Dudley.

Rahim Choudhary, aged 42, and Rafhan Mohammed, aged 40, were jailed on October 11 for conspiring to supply Class A drugs including cocaine and heroin.

The men ran two separate drugs lines - the '8867 line' and the '0636 line' - between 2017 and 2019.

Choudhary, of Stourbridge Road, Dudley, and Mohammed, of Aston Road, Dudley, would run the drugs lines via their mobile phones, offering a "fast service".

Following investigative work, a warrant was executed at an address in September 2019 in Stourbridge Road where the duo were arrested.

Officers seized wraps of drugs, laptops, mobile phones, and cash.

After both pleaded guilty at Wolverhampton Crown Court, Choudhary was jailed for more than seven years, while Mohammed was jailed for more than five years.

Two others were handed suspended sentences for their involvement.

Steven Barnes, aged 57, was handed a nine-month sentence, suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work for his involvement in the drugs lines.

Jade Jones, aged 42, was handed a nine-month sentence, suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work, plus 20 days of rehabilitation, for assisting an organised crime group.

Detective Sergeant Andy Higgins said of the case: "We were determined to bring these people to justice. This organised crime gang were selling crack cocaine and heroin across Dudley.

"Drug criminality causes misery within communities, it has a ripple effect on so many people from the drug users who have to fund their habit, to the businesses and law-abiding public who become victims of crime because of it.

"These two who ran a drugs line through Dudley are now in jail and we hope this sends a warning to anyone else who feels they are above the law.”
