A PASSENGER has died after a car crashed into a tree in Dudley in the earlier hours of the morning (Saturday, October 19).
Emergency services rushed to Dixons Green Road shortly after 2am after a car collided with a tree.
West Midlands Police said the driver of the car suffered "serious injuries" and was arrested before being taken to hospital.
They confirmed the passenger of the car died at the scene.
A second car which is believed to have been involved in the events leading to the fatal crash was later stopped by officers.
Two men in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in custody.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes for the time being.
"We're keen to hear from anyone who was in the area this morning and may have dashcam footage of what happened.
