Overnight, groups launched fireworks at each other, buildings and at police officers around Bagot Street and Staniforth Street.
It follows an incident in the same area of the city in the early hours of the morning on Thursday, October 31, that saw two people injured after being caught in the crossfire of disorder involving fireworks.
West Midlands Police implemented a dispersal order in the area and used drones and stop and search powers to identify suspects who were believed to be throwing fireworks.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder, fireworks offences and assaulting an officer.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, violent disorder and fireworks offences.
A 19-year-old man was arrested for assaulting an officer and has been dealt with by community resolution.
In a separate incident in Handsworth, Birmingham which also occurred last night, officers spotted a man selling fireworks illegally from the back of his van.
West Midlands Police have seized both the van and the fireworks inside and are investigating whether the two incidents are linked.
In a statement, West Midlands Police said: “We won't tolerate such appalling behaviour which we know is frightening for people and puts them at risk of harm.
“We have an investigation team reviewing footage and we will seek to prosecute anyone involved.
“We'll have another tough focused policing operation in place today, and over the coming days, to keep our communities safe.”
