THE Meadowlark pub in Dudley has welcomed back pub-goers after an extensive three-week refurbishment.
Now boasting a bright new look, the pub has undergone a complete transformation and now has a refreshed bar area, new soft furnishings and enhanced dining area.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Friday November 1 which saw the pub in Dibdale Road, Milking Bank, reopened by long-serving staff members Michelle Greeves, front of house supervisor, and Sharon Fowkes.
General manager Vanessa Hawkes said of the revamp: “We’re thrilled to reveal the Meadowlark’s new look to our guests.
"Whether you’re looking for a family meal out or somewhere to enjoy the sport with a pint, our pub is ready to welcome guests, both new and old, to enjoy our brand-new look — but with the same sizzle we’ve always had.”
The family-friendly pub shows live sport, with tables available to pre-book.
It also hosts a quiz night every Wednesday at 8pm plus music themed bingo every Sunday at 8pm, with a DJ on weekends from 9pm.
There is also a darts and pool competition during the week with prize money to be won. The pub also hosts live entertainment one weekend every month from 9pm.
To keep the pub at the heart of the community, staff take part in community litter picking once a month; the pub also sponsors Gornal Athletics Girls football team.
